Philadelphia Eagles coach Doug Pederson had plenty of good things to say about running back Wendell Smallwood after his performance in a Week 3 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Smallwood had 79 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries in the win, and Pederson described him as "a big, powerful guy. He's a downhill guy. He's a one-cut runner." Adding that "He did a great job for us."
Smallwood had the 14th best running back performance of the week, according to our Net Expected Points (NEP) metric on numberFire Live, and has a higher Rushing NEP per carry than both Ryan Mathews and Darren Sproles through three games.
