Washington's Bashaud Breeland leaves game with ankle injury
Washington cornerback Bashaud Breeland was forced from Sunday's game against the New York Giants with an ankle injury, and will not return.
Breeland went down in the opening minutes, and was ruled out late in the first quarter. The quick rule out suggests Breeland is dealing with a high-ankle sprain. Cornerback Dashaun Phillips, who's already been burned by New York wide receiver Sterling Shepard, will see the biggest increase in snaps.
Shepard has picked up 6.18 Net Expected Points on three targets so far this game, per numberFire Live.
