Vikings place Adrian Peterson on injured reserve
The Minnesota Vikings placed running back Adrian Peterson (meniscus surgery) on injured reserve.
Peterson has opted for a full repair of his meniscus, so he will miss the remainder of the season following surgery. Jerick McKinnon and Matt Asiata will attempt to pick up the slack in the Vikings run game.
Our models have McKinnon projected for 11 carries and 45 yards on the ground, with two catches for 15 yards through the air. We have Asiata projected for eight carries and 30 yards with 0.29 touchdowns in Week 3.
