Zach Ertz (groin) not expected to play for Eagles Week 3
Philadelphia Eagles tight end Zach Ertz (ribs) will not be in the lineup Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to Howard Eskin of Fox 29 TV Philadelphia, who says "don't expect" Ertz to play Week 3.
Neither Ertz or Leodis McKelvin (hamstring) have been practicing and are long shots for Week 3. Ertz admitted to still being "in a lot of pain" Thursday and it doesn't sound like he has made much progress in his recovery from a displaced rib. Trey Burton had 49 yards and a score on five catches while filling in for Ertz against the Chicago Bears on Monday night.
If available, we project Ertz to catch 2-of-3 targets for 22 yards and 0.15 touchdowns against the Steelers. Burton accrued 6.77 Reception Net Expected Points on his seven targets in Week 2.
