Jason Pierre-Paul will not report to training camp until he can pass physical
New York Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul will not report to Giants training camp until he can pass his physical.
It was a positive sign on Sunday that Pierre-Paul had a meeting with Giants' general manager Jerry Reese. It was the first contact between both sides. However, it is still unknown when he will return to the field.
The Giants ranked 22nd in our schedule-adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points metric last season, and without their best pass-rusher, that ranking could drop further this upcoming season. We projected Pierre-Paul to finish the season with 55 tackles and 10.5 sacks prior to his injury, but this situation is a complete unknown.
