Cowboys' Ezekiel Elliott benched after second fumble Sunday
Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott did not play a snap after his second fumble Sunday against Washington.
Alfred Morris handled all of the work over the final seven minutes, scoring the game-winning touchdown late in the fourth quarter. Jerry Jones said after the game he and the coaches are not worried about Elliott's fumbles, but the benching suggests otherwise. The rookie will remain the starter moving forward, but Morris could start to eat into his workload.
Morris earned -0.67 Net Expected Points (NEP) on five rushing attempts, per numberFire Live. Elliott earned -3.61 NEP on 21 rushes.
