Buccaneers' Robert Ayers leaves game with ankle injury
Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive end Robert Ayers was forced from the Arizona Cardinals' Week 2 game with an ankle injury, and will not return.
What It Means:
Ayers is a situational pass rusher. He should be considered week-to-week. Rookie Noah Spence will take over for him.
The Buccaneers' pass rush hasn't stopped quarterback Carson Palmer, allowing him to toss 18.46 Net Expected Points on 31 attempts midway through the fourth quarter, per numberFire Live.
