Panthers waive wide receiver Stephen Hill
The Carolina Panthers have waived wide receiver Stephen Hill.
What It Means:
Hill tore the ACL in his right knee during Saturday's practice. He was a second-round pick in the 2012 by the Jets, but he has been unable to find a consistent role on an NFL offense. He was also arrested last week for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Hill hasn't caught more than 24 passes in a season during his first three years. He would have been buried on the Panthers wide receiver depth chart even if he had stayed healthy.
