Jeremy Hill worked on upper body strength, fumbling issues in offseason

Cincinnati Bengals running back Jeremy Hill worked on his fumbling issues and upper body strength in the offseason.

What It Means:

Hill fumbled the ball five times last year, including a costly one on the eight-yard line against the Denver Broncos with a 27-21 lead in the third quarter. The turnover has caused Hill to have nightmares, he said.

Despite the fumbling, Hill managed to be an elite running back, according to our metrics. Fumbles, obviously, kill drives and reduce expected scoring outcomes. Thankfully for Hill, only two of the five fumbles were lost. Hill managed to post a Rushing Net Expected Points score of 20.63, which ranked fourth among all running backs. Our algorithms project him for 222 carries, 1,024 yards, and 8 touchdowns this season.
