Patriots acquire Eric Rowe from Eagles in exchange for Josh Kline

The New England Patriots have traded guard Josh Kline and a conditional-fourth round draft pick to the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for cornerback Eric Rowe.

What It Means:

The Eagles seem to be clearing any traces of the Chip Kelly era out of the organization, and Rowe, a 2015 second-round pick, saw only five starts in his 16-game Eagles career. Kline made 17 starts in two seasons for the Patriots, but with Joe Thuney impressing in camp and Shaq Mason returning from injury, he was an expendable pieces on that offensive line.

The Patriots ranked 15th against the pass in 2015, with a schedule-adjusted 0.08 Defensive Passing Net Expected Points per play.
