Philadelphia Eagles first-round quarterback Carson Wentz was named the starter for Week 1 by head coach Doug Pederson.
Per Pederson, Wentz has fully recovered from the rib injury he suffered during his first preseason action. The second overall pick took every snap with the Eagles' first-team offense at practice on Monday. Wentz logged a total of 38 snaps in the preseason, but his Week 1 matchup with the Cleveland Browns is appealing, so he's a great value play for DFS. For now, the rookie is likely only on the season-long radar in two-QB formats.
Our models haven't heard the news yet regarding Wentz in Week 1, but the Eagles offense ranked 23rd in Passing Adjusted Net Expected Points per play last season.
