Sam Barrington

Sam Barrington claimed by Chiefs

Kansas City Chiefs claimed linebacker Sam Barrington off waivers from the Green Bay Packers.

What It Means:

Barrington was competing with Jake Ryan for a starting role at inside linebacker before the Packers sent him packing on Saturday. He should see significant snaps in Kansas City, considering that second-year undrafted linebacker Justin March is his only competition.

With veteran Josh Mauga hitting injured reserve, we could see Barrington soak up most of his projection. We had projected Mauga for 96.94 tackles, 0.88 sacks, and 3.12 passes defended in 2016.
