Cowboys' Randy Gregory appeal pending to reduce suspension to four games

Dallas Cowboys defensive end Randy Gregory's suspension for violating the league's substance abuse policy is pending to be reduced from 10 games to four on appeal.

What It Means:

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported that Gregory's four-game suspension became official on Saturday but noted that his appeal hadn't been heard yet. This would be a rare defensive off-field victory for the Cowboys this offseason. Nonetheless, Gregory didn't report to training camp and is currently being treated at an out-of-state rehab facility. The Cowboys remain extremely short-handed in the defensive front seven.

Dallas ranked 20th in Adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points per play in 2015.
