Patriots' Malcolm Mitchell (elbow) sitting out final preseason tilt
New England Patriots wide receiver Malcolm Mitchell (elbow) is sitting out Thursday's preseason finale.
Mitchell resumed practicing almost immediately after dislocating his elbow three weeks ago, but hasn't been ready for game action. He's been sporting a bulky brace. Still not 100 percent after a limited preseason, Mitchell could end up a healthy scratch for Week 1 even if he's technically healthy enough to play.
Our models project Mitchell to record six catches for 81 yards and 0.44 touchdowns this season for New England.
