Teddy Bridgewater (knee) placed on Vikings' injured reserve
The Minnesota Vikings placed quarterback Teddy Bridgewater (knee) on injured reserve, ending his season.
Bridgewater suffered a completely torn ACL, dislocated knee and other structural damage at Tuesday's practice. He's facing a lengthy rehab and isn't a lock to be ready for Week 1 next season. Shaun Hill will replace Bridgewater, but the Vikings could look outside the organization for another quarterback.
The Vikings offense ranked 20th in schedule-adjusted Passing Net Expected Points (NEP) in 2015, and with Bridgewater done for the season, that number will likely worsen in 2016. Bridgewater was 31st in Passing NEP per drop back among the 39 quarterbacks in 2015 with at least 150 drop backs.
