Saints sign Paul Kruger
The New Orleans Saints signed outside linebacker Paul Kruger.
In his age 30 season, Kruger will come in to try and help defensive linemen Cameron Jordan and Nick Fairley get after the quarterback after New Orleans lost edge rusher Hau'oli Kikaha to a season-ending knee injury. Kruger was exceptional in the pass rush last season, even if his pocket pressures only netted him three sacks.
Last year, Kruger picked up 27 total tackles and three sacks in limited time for the Cleveland Browns. He'll settle into a rotational role in New Orleans as well. The Saints ranked a historically-bad 32nd in Adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points per play in 2015.
