Bruce Ellington (torn hamstring) lands on 49ers' injured reserve

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Bruce Ellington was placed on injured reserve with a torn hamstring, ending his season.

What It Means:

Ellington was an appealing sleeper towards the end of fantasy drafts as a receiver with plenty of upside in a San Francisco receiving corp that is among worst in the league. Jeremy Kerley will likely man the slot for head coach Chip Kelly's talent-deficient offense. At 25-years-old, Ellington has 19 catches through his two years in the league.

Kerley currently ranks outside of our top-100 wide receivers this season, with a projection of 22 catches for 236 yards and 1.00 touchdowns over the course of the year.
