The Dallas Cowboys placed rookie linebacker Jaylon Smith (knee) on reserve/NFI.
What It Means:
This knocks him out until Week 7 at soonest, but the reality is he isn't going to play this year. There's also a good chance Smith never steps foot on an NFL field. This injury comes into a lot more concern with starting weak-side linebacker Sean Lee getting injured once again. The Cowboys' front seven is among the worst in the league.
Dallas ranked 20th in Adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points per play in 2015.
