Eagles release Rueben Randle
The Philadelphia Eagles released wide receiver Rueben Randle.
Randle was a veteran in a weak and young wideout corps, but this move is entirely unsurprising in light of the 25-year-old's summer and career arc. He seemed to take making the 53-man roster for granted in Philadelphia. Despite starting in all 16 games for the New York Giants last season, both his film and effort level are that of a player who will have a hard time sticking on someone's roster in 2016.
Randle quietly had an efficient season in 2015. Among wideouts with at least 80 targets, he ranked 10th in Reception Net Expected Points per target.
