Eagles' Wendell Smallwood leaves preseason game with concussion

Philadelphia Eagles rookie running back Wendell Smallwood left Saturday's third preseason game with a concussion.

What It Means:

He has been placed in the concussion protocol. Before going down, Smallwood worked as the Eagles' fourth running back behind even Darren Sproles and Kenjon Barner. Smallwood had two carries for 11 yards and a five-yard catch prior to exiting. He may open the season on the game-day inactive list.

Our algorithms currently project Smallwood for 78 all-purpose yards and 0.25 total touchdowns on 14 touches this season. He's not a 2016 fantasy factor.
