Browns' Tramon Williams expects to win back starting job

Cleveland Browns cornerback Tramon Williams expects to reclaim his starting job.

What It Means:

Williams missed Friday’s preseason game with a toe injury. He’s still listed as the starter on the Browns’ depth chart, but has been practicing in the slot. Offseason trade acquisition Jamar Taylor is the favorite open the season opposite Joe Haden.

Our algorithms project Williams for 81.24 tackles, 7.48 passes defended and 3.84 interceptions in 2016. The Browns' 25th-best projected defense is not likely to improve much this year if former Miami Dolphins cast-off Taylor is beating out Williams for a starting job.
