49ers' Bruce Ellington strains hamstring on Friday night
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver/kick returner Bruce Ellington suffered a strained hamstring in Friday night's preseason game.
He missed the second preseason game with an ankle injury as well. Ellington's hamstring strain looked serious, as he walked gingerly off the field before being met by trainers on the sideline with a towel over his head. Ellington has great opportunity in this barren wide receiver corps, but he simply can't stay healthy.
Our algorithms have Ellington pegged as the number-two receiver in San Francisco, projecting him for 47 receptions for 447 yards and 1.47 touchdowns in 2016.
