Jason McCourty (hip) questionable for Titans' preseason Week 2

Tennessee Titans cornerback Jason McCourty (hip) is questionable for Saturday's preseason game against the Carolina Panthers.

What It Means:

A hip flexor injury has prevented him from running the past two days. The Titans don't believe the injury is related to the groin surgery that ended McCourty's season last year. It doesn't sound like anything serious but given McCourty's recent string of injuries, it's something to monitor.

The Tennessee defense was mediocre last year, coming in at 18th in the league in Adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points. Our algorithms project McCourty for 65.13 tackles, 3.46 passes defended, and 0.84 interceptions this season. When healthy, he's a shutdown cornerback that can be ignored in most IDP leagues.
