Muhammad Wilkerson (leg) could play in Jets' preseason Week 2
New York Jets defensive end Muhammad Wilkerson (leg) to play in Friday's preseason game, SNY's Ralph Vacchiano expects.
Head coach Todd Bowles was noncommittal on Wilkerson's status, but he's reportedly looked fine in practices. The Jets will likely limit his reps if he plays this week. Wilkerson should be close to fully healthy.
Wilkerson played a big part in helping anchor a Jets defense that finished sixth in schedule-adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points per play in 2015, and his return will be big for their 2016 outlook. Our algorithms project him for 60.68 tackles and 13.20 sacks if healthy over a full 16 games.
