Bills working on Stephon Gilmore's contract extension
Buffalo Bills cornerback Stephon Gilmore is working on a contract extension with the team, general manager Doug Whaley confirmed.
"We have one piece of the puzzle done. Let’s try to get another piece," Whaley said. "We have high profile players and they’re going to command top dollars. So we’re going to try to get them done. Will we get it done? We hope so." With quarterback Tyrod Taylor finally extended, Buffalo has the option of franchising Gilmore if a deal isn't reached this year. Gilmore is seeking $15 million annually, as a top cornerback on the market.
Buffalo ended 2015 ranked 12th in Adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points per play.
