Broncos' Cody Latimer was nervous playing with Peyton Manning

Denver Broncos wide receiver Cody Latimer says playing with Peyton Manning made him "nervous," and he's feeling more confident in year three.

What It Means:

"I was very hesitant," conceded Latimer, a 2014 second-round pick. "Was worried about what everybody thought — was Peyton (Manning) going to be mad, was coach going to be mad? I was very nervous out there. Going out here now, especially in my third year, I’m confident in myself." Coming off a seven-catch, 82-yard preseason opener, Latimer's opportunity increased when wide receiver Bennie Fowler suffered a broken elbow. Although it isn't a fantasy-relevant role, Latimer still has an outside chance to win the Broncos' third receiver job.

Our algorithms still project Latimer at the bottom of his own team's depth chart for 2016, with five catches for 64 yards and 0.32 touchdowns.
