Reggie Ragland (knee) exits Bills' practice Friday

Buffalo Bills rookie inside linebacker Reggie Ragland exited Friday's practice after suffering a non-contact knee injury.

What It Means:

Non-contact injuries can actually be some of the most worrisome, because that can indicate a lingering weakness in a ligament. Ragland was trying to defend a sweep run near the end of practice and crumpled. He was on the ground for several minutes but was able to leave the field on his own power. Head coach Rex Ryan couldn't offer up any details but admitted he's "very concerned." With rookie defensive end Shaq Lawson already out for multiple weeks with a shoulder injury, the Bills can't afford another rookie injury to their front seven.

If healthy, our algorithms project Ragland for around 101.80 tackles and 1.81 sacks this season. Buffalo ranked 16th in Adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points per play last season.
