Tre Mason

Rams have not heard from Tre Mason in months

The Los Angeles Rams haven't heard from running back Tre Mason in seven months and are unsure when they'll see him, ESPN's Dan Graziano and Adam Caplan report.

What It Means:

Mason is currently on the reserve/did not report list and isn't taking up a spot on the 90-man roster. He's dealing with some serious mental-health issues and has had several run-ins with police since the end of last season. The Rams have tried to contact Mason, to no avail, and his family is concerned about his health as well.

Whoever takes over the Rams' backup gig -- be it Mason or otherwise -- will find themselves in a decent spot; our algorithms project that role as the 58th-best fantasy running back, with 110 carries for 374 yards and 1.59 touchdowns, as well as 23 receptions for 154 yards.
