Cowboys' Lance Dunbar (knee) tore both his ACL and patellar tendon last year

Dallas Cowboys running back Lance Dunbar is recovering from both a torn ACL and torn patellar tendon in his left knee, according to ESPN.

What It Means:

Reports on the exact nature of Dunbar's knee injury have been seemingly getting worse over the course of the offseason. Nevertheless, ESPN's Todd Archer reports Dunbar has made an incredible recovery, is "far closer to returning to the field than most imagined," and "could return at some point during training camp."

Among the 70 running backs with at least 20 targets last year, Dunbar's 0.49 Reception Net Expected Points per target ranked 15th. Our algorithms project him for just 15 attempts for 69 rush yards this year, along with 10 receptions for 83 yards receiving.
