Chris Conley running as Chiefs' starting X receiver
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Chris Conley ran as the first-team X receiver this spring.
Jeremy Maclin is Kansas City's Z receiver, with Albert Wilson moving inside to the slot. Wilson might still start in two-receiver sets, but it was clear late last season that the Chiefs wanted Conley more involved. A metrics freak at 6'2" and 213 pounds, Conley has sleeper appeal in fantasy leagues.
Wilson racked up 0.55 Reception Net Expected Points (NEP) per target last year on 57 targets for the Chiefs, which was 74th among the 86 wide receivers with at least 50 targets in 2015. Conley wasn't much more effective on his 31 targets, with just a 0.56 Reception NEP per target.
