Eric Berry cleared to practice
Chiefs safety Eric Berry is cancer-free and has been cleared to practice Wednesday with the team.
Berry was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma in December. His career was in question, but Berry has battled back in an inspirational fashion.
He will look to further strengthen a Chiefs pass defense that ranked ninth in our schedule-adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points (NEP) per play metric last season. However, the Chiefs ranked 24th in our schedule-adjusted Defensive Rushing NEP last year. Berry will have to make an immediate impact as a defensive playmaker after news today that defensive lineman Dontari Poe would be out indefinitely with a back injury.
