Rolando McClain

Rolando McClain's future with Cowboys uncertain

The Dallas Cowboys have yet to make a decision on suspended middle linebacker Rolando McClain's future with the team, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram's Charean Williams reports.

What It Means:

McClain has been rubbing the organization the wrong way all offseason, starting by skipping voluntary workouts this spring. He was then slapped with a 10-game suspension for violating the substance abuse policy. Williams reports "many in the organization" want him released, but he still has the backing of owner Jerry Jones for now.

Prior to his suspension, our algorithms projected McClain for 102.67 tackles, 2.13 sacks, and 2.96 passes defensed. The Cowboys ranked 19th in Adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points (NEP) per play last season.
