Jets' Muhammad Wilkerson likely to start training camp on active/PUP list
New York Jets defensive end Muhammad Wilkerson (broken leg) is "likely" to begin training camp on the active/PUP list, ESPN's Rich Cimini reports.
Wilkerson was expected to be fully recovered in time for camp, but the Jets are understandably taking it slow with their newly-extended defensive stalwart. There's still an expectation that Wilkerson will be ready to go well before Week 1.
Our algorithms currently project Wilkerson to rack up 60.68 tackles, 13.20 sacks and 4.00 passes defensed in 2016. The Jets' defense finished 2015 ranked sixth in Adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points per play.
