Dontari Poe has herniated disc removed
Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle Dontari Poe had a herniated disc in his back removed.
Poe played 944 snaps for the Chiefs last year, so this is a significant injury for the team. He is expected to be back at some point during the regular season.
Kansas City ranked 24th in our schedule-adjusted Defensive Rushing Net Expected Points per play metric, which compares a team to expectation level. Poe recorded six sacks last year in his third season.
