Von Miller signs six-year extension with Broncos
The Denver Broncos signed outside linebacker Von Miller to a six-year, $114.5 million contract.
The deal includes $70 million guaranteed, the highest amount of guaranteed money in NFL history for a defensive player. Miller announced the new deal on Twitter with two words: "For life." It took a turbulent month of negotiations, but the reigning Super Bowl MVP is now under contract through 2021. With Miller back on board, Denver's defense will continue to be a nightmare for opposing offenses.
Our algorithms project the Denver defense to carry its number-one ranking from 2015 over to 2016, as we project them to top the league once again in Defensive Net Expected Points. We project Miller himself to continue wrecking the league, with 67.17 tackles and 12.25 sacks this year.
