Rashard Higgins in lead for Browns' third wideout spot
Cleveland Browns 2016 fifth-round wide receiver Rashard Higgins is expected to open the season as the team's number-three wide receiver, according to ESPN Browns reporter Pat McManamon.
ESPN Cleveland's Tony Grossi has also mentioned that he believes Higgins will be the third man in three-wide sets for the Browns. Based on McManamon's belief, Corey Coleman and Andrew Hawkins will be the two starters, with Terrelle Pryor, Jordan Payton and Taylor Gabriel filling in behind Higgins. The 21-year-old Colorado State alum was a pre-draft favorite of wide receiver gurus Matt Harmon and Josh Norris, so he's worth keeping on the radar in deeper PPR leagues.
The Browns' offense ranked 21st in Passing Net Expected Points per play last season.
