John Crockett

John Crockett currently Packers' third running back

Green Bay Packers running back John Crockett is expected to open training camp as the team's third running back.

What It Means:

This is just information to file into the "break glass in case of emergency" folder. The Packers failed to address the running back position in the draft, leaving Crockett to duke it out with undrafted rookies Brandon Burks and Don Jackson for duties behind starter Eddie Lacy and change-of-pace back James Starks. He could become relevant in case of an injury, but is only worth rostering in the deepest of leagues right now.

Crockett logged nine carries in two games for the Packers last season, spending most of the year on the practice squad. Our algorithms currently project Crockett as the 107th-best fantasy running back in the league, with a forecast of 20 carries for 74 yards rushing, and 5 catches for 33 yards receiving.
