Kenny Bell

Kenny Bell falling behind on Buccaneers' depth chart

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Kenny Bell will battle Donteea Dye for the last receiver spot on the depth chart, according to the expectations of Pewter Report's Zach Shapiro.

What It Means:

Bell looked to be in the driver seat for the Buccaneers' third wide receiver spot behind starters Mike Evans and Vincent Jackson. Shapiro now believes that he may be fighting just to stay on the roster, with Adam Humphries and Russell Shepard both jumping in front of Bell on the depth chart. He's essentially a redshirt freshman after sitting out all of 2015 with a hamstring injury. Dye hauled in 11 catches for 132 yards last season. It seems to be a fairly fluid position battle, so a strong showing throughout camp could have Bell back in the conversation for those third wideout duties.

Our models currently expect Bell to make the roster and earn the gig, projecting him to make 26 catches for 339 yards and 2.01 touchdowns this upcoming season.
