Rams and Trumaine Johnson unlikely to come to terms
The Los Angeles Rams and cornerback Trumaine Johnson are unlikely to come to terms on a long-term deal, per Jason Cole of the Bleacher Report.
The sides have been far apart on a deal for a while now, and Johnson will play out the 2016-2017 season under the franchise tag, which he received on March 1.
The Rams had one of the league's top pass defenses last season, ranking sixth in schedule-adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points. Having already lost one of the starting corners from that unit in Janoris Jenkins, failing to reach a long-term deal with Johnson would be a big blow to the unit.
