IK Enemkpali could open season as starter for Bills
Buffalo Bills edge rusher IK Enemkpali could open the season as a starter.
Enemkpali is competing with Manny Lawson to replace Shaq Lawson (shoulder surgery). Buffalo is likely to go with a rotation on the strong side, with Enemkpali potentially getting work on both base downs and pass-rush situations. Shaq Lawson was given a five-to-six month timetable after post-draft surgery. His best case is a mid-October return.
Buffalo ranked 16th in Adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points per play last season. We expect experience to win out in this duel, with Manny Lawson projected for 83.58 tackles, 1.35 sacks and 1.00 interceptions this year.
