Eagles could be a landing spot for Stephen Tulloch

The Philadelphia Eagles are a potential landing spot for free agent linebacker Stephen Tulloch, the Newark Star-Ledger's Eliot Shorr-Parks considers.

What It Means:

The Detroit Lions finally released Tulloch on Tuesday after informing him he'd be cut four months ago, but he underwent an offseason ankle scope that delayed his release. This prediction is really just connecting dots to Eagles defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz, who he played for when Schwartz was the Lions' head coach. Tulloch could be a veteran presence for a younger linebacker group in Philly, but they have a thick linebacker corps already.

Tulloch is 31, but played a full 16 games last year, racking up 108 total tackles, one sack and one pass defensed. In 2015, the Eagles ranked 19th in our schedule-adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points per play metric.
