Darius Philon should see increased snaps for Chargers
San Diego Chargers defensive end Darius Philon is expected to see an increased role this season.
A 2015 sixth-rounder, Philon played only 150 rookie-year snaps. He got most of the first-team reps this offseason with rookie Joey Bosa unsigned. Philon should be a regular part of San Diego’s rotation.
Our algorithms project Philon for 36.15 tackles and 1.25 sacks this year. According to numberFire's metrics, the Chargers defense ranked 25th in the league last season in regards to total points prevented below expectation.
