Melvin Gordon (microfracture surgery) expected to be ready for Chargers' camp
San Diego Chargers running back Melvin Gordon (microfracture surgery) is expected to be 100 percent healthy for training camp.
For such a serious knee operation, there have been absolutely no bad reports on Gordon's recovery. "You would have never known he was injured," San Diego coach Mike McCoy said earlier this month.
It's hard to call Gordon's rookie season anything but a disappointment. Among the 44 running backs with at least 100 carries, he finished 43rd in Rushing Net Expected Points per attempt. Injuries along San Diego's offensive line have to assume some of the blame, and with his first-round pedigree, Gordon is one of the best buy-low dynasty candidates out there. With that said, Danny Woodhead is still in the mix, and game flow could work against Gordon fairly often in 2016.
