Cowboys' Darren McFadden (elbow) is questionable for Week 1

Dallas Cowboys running back Darren McFadden (elbow) is questionable for Week 1, ESPN reports.

What It Means:

Dallas gave McFadden a two month timetable for recovery following his mid-June surgery. He’s still in a brace, and is going to miss the majority of training camp. McFadden’s injury could allow Alfred Morris to open the year as the team's second running back.

The Cowboys' offense ranked 28th in Adjusted Offensive Net Expected Points (NEP) in 2015. McFadden turned in a solid year, tying for 20th among the 44 backs with at least 100 carries in Rushing NEP per carry at -0.02. Morris racked up -0.08 Rushing NEP per carry, ranking 36th among these same players.
