Austin Hooper impressing the Falcons already
Atlanta Falcons rookie tight end Austin Hooper has impressed offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan with his route running.
"He really comes off the ball hard," Shanahan said. "He's not the fastest guy, but he's fast enough. He’s got good cutting, so he can break off at the top." Atlanta is surely hoping that Hooper will improve their red-zone offense after significant 2015 struggles.
Hooper is currently the third Atlanta tight end in our 2016 projections, ranking as the 49th-best fantasy tight end per our algorithm. We project him for 20 catches, 217 yards receiving, and 1.5 touchdowns, but he could easily beat out aging veteran Jacob Tamme and blocker Tony Moeaki for more work.
