Ryan Griffin receives praise from Texans' coaches
Houston Texans tight end Ryan Griffin was recently talked up by tight ends coach John Perry.
"Ryan gives us ability in a lot of respects," Perry said. "He's not just one-dimensional. He can be effective in the pass game. He can be effective as a blocker." Griffin has tons of physical upside at 6-foot-6, 254 pounds, but he hasn't been able to get on the field (or stay on it) through three seasons. He missed half of last year with a sprained MCL and yet still set meager career-highs across the board with 20 catches for 251 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Griffin could have some sneaky fantasy upside as numberFire's 24th projected tight end at the moment. Our algorithms give him 34 catches for 422 yards receiving and 4.58 touchdowns this year.
