Miles Sanders (hamstring) limited Thursday for Panthers

Carolina Panthers running back Miles Sanders (hamstring) was limited at Thursday's practice for Week 5 against the Detroit Lions.

What It Means:

Sanders practiced in a limited fashion for a second consecutive day. He also started out last week with back-to-back limited practice sessions, before sitting out Friday and playing in Sunday's game. Sanders still handled 16 touches, but he set season-lows in offensive snap share (43.1%) and yardage output (32). Chuba Hubbard out-snapped Sanders 39-31 and gained 53 yards on the same amount of touches. Sanders' injury and inefficiency could earn Hubbard a larger role moving forward.

numberFire's models project Sanders for 16.3 touches and 11.5 FanDuel points while Hubbard is projected for 9.0 touches and 6.7 FanDuel points. Sanders is the RB20 and Hubbard is the RB39 in our Week 5 fantasy rankings. The Lions are allowing the sixth-fewest FanDuel points per game to running backs and they have the third-best adjusted pass defense in the NFL, according to numberFire’s metrics.
