Lions' Jameson Williams (suspension) to be reinstated Monday
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Detroit Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams will be reinstated earlier than previously believed due to changes to the NFL gambling policies.
Williams was initially slated to miss the first six weeks of the NFL season after violating the league's gambling policy, but is now expected to be reinstated as early as Monday after Week 4 due to changes to the league's gambling policy. His return could add another explosive element to a Lions offense that has already been firing on all cylinders this season.
Williams was an explosive downfield threat in his final season of college ball, leveraging his excellent season with Alabama into first round draft capital in spite of the serious knee injury he suffered in the college football playoffs. He was extremely limited during his rookie season as a result of that injury, but put his explosiveness on display when he was healthy -- his 2 touches last year went for 81 totals yards and a touchdown.
