New England Patriots linebacker Shea McClellin worked primarily at defensive end during the Patriots' offseason program.
McClellin entered the league as a defensive end, but he spent the last two years playing as an off-ball linebacker. It seems as if the Patriots like him better as a pass rusher. He is too slight to play defensive end full-time, but he should fill a role in sub packages.
In 2015, the Patriots' defense ranked 12th in the league by Adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points per play.
