Chris Conley receiving first-team reps for Chiefs
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Chris Conley received first-team reps opposite Jeremy Maclin at minicamp.
Albert Wilson also rotated in. Kansas City didn’t do much to upgrade opposite Maclin this offseason, adding free agent Rod Streater and fifth-round rookie Tyreek Hill. Conley’s the favorite to start, but has limited deep-threat upside with quarterback Alex Smith. The Chiefs should remain one of the league's most run-heavy teams.
Wilson racked up 0.55 Reception Net Expected Points (NEP) per target last year on 57 targets for the Chiefs, which was 74th among the 86 wide receivers with at least 50 targets in 2015. Conley wasn't much more effective on his 31 targets, with just a 0.56 Reception NEP per target.
